Basic Wilderness Survival Kit And Contents Video

PLEASE READ: Shown are the various items essential to last ditch outdoor survival. Description and uses of items.

I've been getting some comments about adding more firelighting gear. What I have in this kit is more than enough. Many people go out with much less. There are many primitive ways of lighting fires that I can use.

Please Do Not Add Suggestions For Items I Already Keep In this Kit. I have Made And, Used Many Kits, And Combinations To Make This One. Unlike Many Of The Other Kits On YT, I Use The Items Frequently In The Outdoors. I Know Exactly What I Need For My Purposes. Please Remember- This Is A Last Ditch Kit, I Will Always Have Other Primary Gear With Me When I Venture Out.

Excellent vid..:) One thing i do regarding the cotton balls and petroleum Jelly idea for fire starting is to keep a small tube or couple small packets of triple antiboitic ointment instead of petroleum Jelly..It not? only will start your fire but help you avoid infection too.. gotta love those multitasking Items..:)

I read quite a few comments knocking this video and the man who made it. Think for a second; this is only one person's selection of kit for the? last resort - he doesn't pretend to be giving the definitive selection of survival gear or try to tell you what to carry for the same eventuality, it's just his preference. If you can do better, let's see it on here and commentators can 'discuss' your ideas.

@equitably You will more than likely run across trash, like pop and beer cans in the woods, in campfire rings, and on? the side of the road. Cut off the top, clean out, fill with water and boil in the fire and have a method of moving the hot can.

get? rid of that paracord. Get yourself some dyneema 12 strand 3/8" cord. 20,000lb tensile strength, and it floats.

"some people have said I need more firelighting tools" yeah, most of this kit is fire starting oriented... bic, firesteel, candle, magnifying glass, petrol jelly cotton balls, tri-oxene fuel bar, batteries, paper... if you can't get a fire started with those,? you don't need to be in the damn woods!
